How can I change the surface design?

I2P-Bote appears in a very modern app design by default.
However, there are two other types of design, which look a bit older, but also not so tight.
  1. First go to the I2P-Bote web interface. You can find this in the sidebar under "I2P Services".
  2. Then click on Settings under "Configuration" on the left.
  3. Under General you can choose the design under "Theme".
    There are currently three designs:
    • Material: This is the standard design and is quite modern. However, it is also a little squashed.
    • Light Blue: This design is more reminiscent of a slightly older application. It is divided into
several boxes and has pretty small buttons. The background is blue checked.
    • Vanilla: This design is the same as "Light Blue" from the position of the elements.
However, it has a different basic color.
  4. After you have selected the desired design from the list, you can click "Save" to save it.

How do I create a new email address?

To create an email address in I2P-Bote, you first need an identity.
The e-mail address is then calculated from this. It is not freely selectable.
A messenger address consists of a series of numbers, letters and other characters.
Every identity also has a name. You can choose this freely. It is recommended not
to use his real name to protect anonymity. You can find the instructions of
I2P-Bote in the User Guide here. Explanations of the encryption types here.
The instructions here describe how you create an identity and thus also get a messenger address.
  1. First go to the I2P-Bote web interface. You can find this in the sidebar under "I2P Services".
  2. Then click on Identities under Addresses on the left.
  3. Klicke als nächtes auf New Identiy.
  4. At Public Name: you enter the name for the identity. This can be invented. However, the field must be filled out.
  5. With Description: you can make notes about your identity. This is e.g. B. useful if you use several. This note is private. So no one else can see you.
  6. Next click on Create.
  7. To see your full messenger address, you can click on the name of the identity. Under Email Destination: you can see the entire messenger address. The selected encryption can make an address longer, but also shorter.
